Schools · A Welcome from the Head Teacher

Hello, and a very warm welcome.
Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions any family makes, and I know you're looking for somewhere your child will feel happy, safe and truly understood. That is exactly what we set out to be. Our classes are small, our team is specialist, and our ambitions for your child are big.
We take time to get to know every young person, what makes them laugh, what they find tricky, and what they dream of doing and we build their learning around that, celebrating every step along the way.
And if you're a young person reading this: welcome. This is a place where you can be yourself, try new things and feel proud of what you achieve. Please come and visit, we'd love to show you around.

Feedback and recognition
Following a Derbyshire Virtual School visit (May 2026), the school was praised for its 'trauma-informed practice,' 'high quality resources' and 'outstanding use of adapted pupil voice.'
At Aspiration House School we are committed to providing our pupils with a caring, positive and welcoming learning environment to achieve their full potential — academically, socially and emotionally.

Joining our school
Pupils are usually referred to us by a professional. We then follow a careful transition process to make sure Aspiration House School is the right fit for each pupil and to help them settle in well. This may include visits to the school, taster sessions, observations in the pupil's current setting and initial assessments. We then put together an individual education plan and meet with the family to agree the placement.
